Responsible for the installation, maintenance, modification, demonstration, and repair of highly complex diagnostic/ therapeutic medical devices. Provides a high quality of training to clinical departments and technical support to clinical departments in area of expertise. Performs highly skilled technical and advisory work with clinical departments to assist in the development of processes/procedures relative to clinical use of technologies.

This position will have a heavy focus on sterilizing and washing equipment. If you have experience in this area but not biomedical equipment please apply for further consideration!

The use of the employees personal vehicle may be required to perform certain job functions.

Associates degree in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology OR military training in biomedical equipment technology OR equivalent experience obtained through original manufacturer training.
Valid State of WI Driver's License and acceptable driving record required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
At least 8 years of related biomedical technical experience preferred - will consider candidates with less experience.
Biomed Equip Tech Certification (CBET), Radiology Equipment Specialist Certification (CRES), and Lab Equipment Specialist Certification (CLES) preferred.
Demonstrated self-started with ability to manage workload independently.

Position Summary:
Responsible for performing preventive, predictive and repair maintenance and other scheduled services on Biomedical and related equipment, . Performs repairs and other technical activities with minimum supervision. Requires good oral and written communication and customer service skills. Maintains equipment inventory records and parts records.

Associates Related Field or 2 years troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment in the Biomedical or Related Electronics field.

Two (2) years Biomedical Electronics repair and testing. Installs and provides technical assistance, preventive maintenance, calibration checks and repair service for a range of electronic medical equipment

Electrical and electronic theory including discrete components, integrated circuits, and microprocessors; test equipment such as oscilloscopes, analog and digital multimeters, signal generators, frequency counters, and special instrumentation designed for testing electronics

· Essential Functions:
· Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance.
· Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
· Ensures integrity of preventive maintenance program by maintaining equipment inventory
· Ensures the integrity of the preventive maintenance program by maintaining equipment inventory and reviewing schedules and procedures.
· Maintains department supply inventory.
· Maintains documentation on electrical systems and practices for DNV, OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
· Coordinates both internal and external repair processes.
